If a mat or cable system requires more than 15 amps, we recommend
installing SunStat Relays. Relays connect directly to SunStat
thermostats for simple, elegant control of larger systems. Each SunStat
Control (120 or 240 VAC) can accommodate up to 10 SunStat Relays.
It's possible to control up to 1,500 sq.ft. of electric
floor warming using (1) 120 VAC SunStat Control and (10) 120 VAC SunStat
Relays. Likewise, it is possible to control up to 3,000 sq.ft. using
(1) 240VAC SunStat Control and (10) 240VAC SunStat Relays. This
configuration can be used for HeatWeave Mats, and WarmWire. Please see the Installation Manual for
information on sizing and installation requirements.
Relay II is not compatible with legacy SunStat models 500670 and 500675.
